Publisher speaks at CCF on "Servant Leadership"
Kathleen Jackson, founder and publisher of the Florida-based Godly Business Woman Magazine, will be the featured speaker at the fall WWit - Working Women Interacting Together - event on Monday evening, October 25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 1595 S. Alma School Rd. in Chandler. The evening will include a catered, sit-down dinner, networking opportunities as well as Jackson's message.
Jackson's topic will be "Servant Leadership: Becoming a Leader People Will Follow," based on the servant leadership philosophy of Robert Greenleaf. The presentation is designed to "transform and empower your office, business, ministry or home into a group of dedicated team players that will work together to reach new heights." All local, working women are invited to attend.
"It's difficult for working women to connect with each other and get the support and encouragement they need," says Greenbriar's Janet Drez, event coordinator. "We're hoping to provide a place where all working women can unwind, be encouraged and network with other women like them."
The Godly Business Woman Magazine, founded in 1998, "seeks to inspire and encourage women to be all they can be through Jesus Christ," says Drez. The magazine grew from a regional publication to a national magazine in less than six months, and is now distributed worldwide. Jackson began her working career in corporate America, spending 26 years in training and development, sales and marketing. She resides in Casselberry, Florida, with her husband, Royce. Cost for the evening is $18. Reservations and pre-payment are required and can be made through Drez at 480-899-3090 or by email at janet@aperfectsolution.com, or call the church at 480-917-9237.
